Meatless Monday deals and offerings across the country show no signs of slowing. From the rollout of meatless options, like the Impossible Burger and Beyond Meat, at national fast food and fast casual chains, to a torrid expansion of plant-based food options—once found only in specialty stores— now commanding entire sections of grocery stores. With growing concern over both the quality of mass-processed meats along with climate change and the humane treatment of animals, more folks are turning to vegetarian or vegan habits, at least part-time anyways.
It’s no surprise that restaurants across the country are capitalizing on the catchy Meatless Monday (#MeatlessMonday) promotional juggernaut. Just ask Rick Camac, Dean of Restaurant & Hospitality Management for Institute of Culinary Education in New York, who closely monitors restaurant trends. “Meatless Monday goes back a ways now, and with the current plant-based trend in full gear, this will only increase. It’s even being offered in NYC public schools now,” said Camac,” but for restaurants, it’s the perfect marketing ploy, as you’re playing into a hot consumer trend while also promoting a fairly un-promotable day [Monday].”
Love, Serve, Remember
Southern California’s Café Gratitude, Gracias Madre, and Gratitude Kitchen & Bar (all part of the Love, Serve, Remember restaurant group) are some of the latest to throw their hat into the #MeatlessMonday ring. All three are set to begin a three-month-long Meatless Mondays promo (starting May 13th), giving guests a whopping 50 percent discount on select items from their much-beloved plant-based menu.

Yuzu (Lakewood, Ohio)
The Lakewood, Yuzu, haunt famous for craft cocktails and global food offers a total steal for the veg-minded. Impossible burgers, which go for as much as $17 at some restaurants, are offered for just 5 bucks every Monday. See details here.

In uber health-conscious South Beach, Planta features a special Maki Monday deal of unlimited vegetarian Maki rolls for just $24 per person. Options include Planta favorites like the JB Roll (smoked carrot & tempura cream cheese) Rainbow Roll (watermelon, scallion, spicy mayo, and sesame “masago”) and the Dragon Roll (with “chicken” fried mushrooms, avocado, pickled mango, and spicy mayo). Café Gratitude, Gracias Madre, & Gratitude Kitchen & Bar (Southern California)
The beloved plant-based LA restaurant group has announced a massive Meatless Mondays with as much as 50 percent discount on select menu items each Monday for the next three months.
