Then, you need some fleece fabric project in this easy fleece blankets DIY project. If you, especially, want to know how to make a double-sided fleece blanket, and do it in no time, too, this DIY project is for you.
With the cold seasons fast approaching along with the gift-giving holidays, nothing could be perfect than this DIY tie blanket project. It is simple, quick, and requires no sewing which can easily be done in less than an hour.
This fleece fabric project is also guaranteed easy-to-make, you’ll want to make as many as you want or can. So hit the craft store, pick up some super soft fleece and let’s get started making a blanket now!
What You Need to Make a Tie Blanket
You will need two 2.5 yards of fleece fabric. There are ever so many colors and prints to choose from.
You can either go with plain colors or printed. I like mine with one plain side and the other, printed–I just love to mix and match.
Visit the nearest fabric store now for the perfect pair of fleece fabric for this project.
You will also need a pair of sharp scissors, a measuring tool, and a marking tool which you may now have on your DIY stash.

How to Make a Tie Blanket Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1. Set Your Fleece Fabrics
First, prepare your materials and your working area. Set your fleece fabric on your working table or area.
I would suggest, you work on the floor to give you ample room for your DIY blanket. Next, lay the fabric on top of each other aligning all sides.
Step 2. Measure, Mark, and Cut
Measure 1.5 inches along the edge, then measure another four inches down and mark. Start on one side of the aligned fabrics going all the way around.
Now, cut down the 4-inch squares at every corner every 1.5 inches. You will be left with a sort of fringes on all sides of the fabric.
Step 3. Tie Knots

We now come to the last and most fun part of the project. Simply tie one fringe of the fabric to the other on the opposite fabric.
Continue tying the pairs of fringes until you’ve completely tied all pairs. It looks simple, but if you’re too relaxed, you might miss out a pair.
