How to Make a DIY Burlap Bubble Wreath

Easy and Simple Way to Make a Burlap Wreath

Looking for burlap wreath DIY ideas? You’ve found one with this DIY burlap bubble wreath you can make in a cinch.

Looks pretty easy, right? Great news. It is! With little effort and time, you too can have an equally neat wreath.

There are different ways to make a burlap wreath and this one is one of the easiest so far. This here is a tutorial on how to make a ruffled burlap wreath or a burlap bubble wreath.

It will only take you about 15 minutes to make and only a couple of supplies. Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous has generously shared this great tutorial with us so we can pass it on to you all.

You’ll surely love this wreath because you can switch it with the seasons if you want. Or you could just easily leave it the natural-looking burlap wreath and hang with another piece of burlap.

Wreaths are not just for front doors. You can hang them on doors inside the household along with the windows or consoles.

DIY Burlap Bubble Wreath Supplies

|

  • Roll of 6″ wide burlap ribbon
  • 12″ wire wreath form
  • Scissors
  • Silk flowers and leaves to embellish

DIY Burlap Bubble Wreath Tutorial Instructions

Step 1. Prep the Wire Wreath Form

You simply tie a knot around the wire wreath form with one end of the burlap.

Step 2. Getting Started with the Burlap

Push the burlap through one of the sections of the wreath form and twist so the loop is sideways. (This help cover the wire wreath form).

Step 3. Forming the Burlap Wreath

Continue making loops but make sure to do the next “bubble” in the wire opening next to the one you just did to hold the previous loop in place. Continue around the wreath until its as full as you’d like.

Step 4. Finishing Up

Cut off the burlap then either tie another knot to finish off the wreath or simply tuck it into the bubbles. Finally, hot glue on silk flowers, leaves, ornaments, bows, etc.
